CHAPTER 1: Memories


May 23, 2009. New York, USA.

Gui Gui took the piece of jewelry. Memories of what had happened that day began to come back. Those memories, she tried to erase, but won’t go away. Those memories always finds its way back. Those memories, that were like nightmares that she had wished that never happened.. Memories that were unforgettable.

She held onto the necklace as the flashback from before came back again, haunting her.

FLASHBACK
`6 years ago.`

Sleeping, Gui Gui heard noises from downstairs. She thought her parents were home and so she kicked off her blankets and tip-toed silently. She hid behind a wall and took a peek downstairs. There, she saw her Gege, Chunnie and 3 big guys surrounding him.

“Are they Ge’s new friends?” Gui Gui thought, curiously.

BANG!

A gun shot was heard.

“Ge!” Gui Gui screamed in horror.

Hearing that, the 3 guys immediately ran out of the house, leaving the gun there, lying on the cold floor.

When the guys had left, Gui Gui ran to her Ge and embraced him tightly.

“Ge, your not going to leave Gui Gui alone, right?” she whispered, but he wasn’t replying. “Right?! Pinky-promise me that you will never leave me.”

“Mei Mei, I-i can’t promise you that..” he whispered as he held onto his wound that wouldn’t stop bleeding.

“but you need to promise me that you’ll take care of yourself and b-be happy..” he paused, gasping for air, he tried his best to say, “you know Ge loves yo-you, right?”

Gui Gui cried.

“Ge, why are you saying all these stuff?! Your gonna make it, Ge will promise Gui Gui that he’s not leaving..”

He took her hand into his and said, “I wish..”

He smiled to her.

That was it, his eyes were completely shut.

“Ge! No!” Gui Gui screamed, tears came rushing down her face.

She ran outside, screaming for help, but no one heard her. Gui Gui got down to her knees, helplessly.

“Someone..please help..”

Gui Gui heard a car being slammed and looked up.

“Ma!” she ran up to her.

“Oh dear, what happened to you? Why are you covered with blood?”

“Mommy, Gege. He’s laying on the floor and he was shot and now.. We have to take him to the hospital!” Gui Gui said, talking fast.

“What? I didn’t understand a single word you said.” Gui Gui’s mom scratched her head.

“Ma! Ge, we need to take him to the hospital!”

“What? Why, what happened him?” she asked, worried.

“Mom, stop asking questions. Ge’s going to die and you still keep asking questions!” Gui Gui brought her mother inside the house.

“Mommy, we need to call the ambulance.” Gui Gui panicked.

“My-my son. Who did this to him?!” Gui Gui’s mother broke down.

Gui Gui ran to the telephone and dialed, 911.

END OF FLASHBACK

Tears rushed down her face as she remembered clearly about his brother. She remembered clearly, hearing the noise of the ambulance. The memories of her brother lying in a pool of blood. Those 3 guys who murdered her brother. From then and until now she promised her brother that she will take revenge for what they did to him. She will find those who were associated with the killing of his brother. No matter what happens, Gui Gui was determined to find them.

Gui Gui looked at him, full of hatred in her eyes. She walked to him and put on a smile on her face. “Babe, here’s your drink.”

“Thanks.” Aaron smiled and drank the juice.

Gui Gui put on a big grin on her face, smiling devilishly.

“Babe, is this juice or alcohol… because I feel..dizzy..”

After saying that, Aaron fell and he was already sleeping. “Good, that pill Ya Zi gave me worked..”

“Babe..what- what are you doing?” Aaron said in a terrified voice.

“Something that I should’ve done long ago.”

With that, Gui Gui got closer to him.

“No-Nooo, Babe, why are you doing this? I don’t understand.”

Gui Gui laughed.

“I’m Wu Ying Jie, do you remember me?”

“Ying Jie, why are you doing this? Why?!” he screamed.

“because I want you and your family to feel like how I felt when you lose an important person you love..” Gui Gui said as tears rolled down her cheek.

The new idol drama , "Love Buffet" adapted from Nagamu Nanaji’s manga "Parfait Tic", held its opening ceremony today with much fanfare. Fahrenheit’s Arron Yan and Calvin Chen will play both male leads, Da Ye and A-yi, while Joanne Tseng (Qiaoqiao), who has not had any new projects recently, will take on the role of the female lead, Xiaofeng.

Also in this drama is Singaporean singer Derrick Hoh, who will be in his first acting role, while sweetheart Tracy Chou will play the role of Qiuying, the senior, and Li-er, a newbie actress, will be acting as Xiaosen.

First love is often akin to parfait: sweet, sour, bitter and spicy all at the same time. An ice crusher was specially prepared for the opening ceremony, so that the cast could experience this unique flavour. Qiaoqiao’s character, Xiaofeng, is sandwiched between the two outstanding cousins in the show.

When asked on how she would portray this love triangle, and who she would choose in reality, Qiaoqiao’s answer was straightforward: “It’s impossible for 2 such guys to move in upstairs in real life.” If she really had to choose, it would be very hard indeed.

Calvin, who is playing Da Ye, said, “His cheerfulness, young age and exuberance are traits that I share… it’s the playboy part that’s harder for me to portray.” This drew loud shrieks from the fans present. He also commented that this is his first acting project in a long time, so he is exceptionally excited, and he will do his best to play this character well.

On the other hand, Arron Yan who plays A-yi, hopes for a great start to this new drama. He even remarked that his character is one that brings oxygen to Qiaoqiao’s role, Xiaofeng.

A refreshing new cast, along with the adaptation of a well-known shoujo manga, this drama is one to anticipate.

I can't believe it, i thought the drama they were talking about was Tao Hua Ai Wu Di.
Didn't they say they'll resume filming after Fahrenheit's promotion?

But *sighs* i'll still support Aaron && Calvin too with their new drama and hope they do good at their roles. For Gui Gui, i hope she can have a new project soon! ;D huhuhu. i'll really miss GuiLun together. :(

GTV idol drama 'Pi Li MIT' went to Guang Zhou to promote, and Gui Gui was full of surprising remarks, exclaiming that she had given up her first on-screen kiss, and wants Aaron Yan to take responsibility, and marry her in the future. When Aaron heard this, 3 lines immediately appeared on his face, he smiled awkwardly: "She really knows how to say alot of nonsense."

This Guang Zhou promotional trip is Gui Gui & Aaron's first time, leaving their group and going to promote together. Aaron revealed he was very nervous, "Amongst Fahnreheit, I'm the youngest, I have older brothers to help so I'm not worried, but Gui Gui is even younger than me, I'm scared that she'll say the wrong thing, and I won't know how to rescue her."

Sure enough, Gui Gui immediately began her moves. Besides saying that she wanted Aaron to marry her, she complained that every time she phones Aaron, he always says he's too busy, making her feel very disappointed. Aaron rushed to clarify saying that he really is very busy, not purposely ignoring her.

Gui Gui has terminated her contract with her previous management company, from 8 girls to going solo, her mood is still adjusting, "take this opportunity and equip myself ah, so I went to learn yoga, ballet and ballroom dancing." But her bickering habit with Aaron has not changed, the 2 bickered one sentence after the other, and even unexpectedly revealed that during filming, Fan Fan revealed that this would be her last drama. They called out for her fans to try persuade her, so everyone can collaborate again in the future.
